- secondly, you must see what you are doing even at night, so you’ll need lights above the sink and the countertops preparing section;
- in addition, it can be really useful, if you have inner lights inside your cabinets, especially if they are wide and deep.
But the mount of light sources really depends on your personal preference, so you can put them wherever you want, just make sure they are able to perform their task!
The colors of your kitchen count as well!
There is something you need to take into account, and that is the general lightness/darkness of your kitchen.
If you have bright colored cabinets and countertops, for example white, light grey or beige, then you can reach the same goal with less light sources.
But if you have dark natural woods, or dark colors like blue and black with dark countertops, then you should think of increasing the number of lights, not to feel like you’re in a cave.
Plus the hue of your walls also count, although the contrast between dark furniture and light wall surfaces can be absolutely pleasant.
