Usually, houses are different from each other, not just in size, but in construction as well.
Sometimes, if the houses of a residential park are built at the same time and by the same plans, they are going to be almost identical, but unless you’re moving from one house to another in such a neighborhood, you’ll experience some differences.
And kitchen or bathroom cabinets are probably made for that certain room they are in, so there is no guarantee that you can fit them into their new places.
Yes, there is an option to hire a carpenter to modify them, but most likely the process will leave its marks on the pieces.
And frankly, an expert who undertakes and executes such a job professionally is not easy to find.
Why is it nearly impossible to squeeze the old cabinets into your new home?
Even if the former and current rooms are equal in square foot, the ratios will be at least slightly different, you can be sure about that.
And it matters a lot, if the room is longer or wider than the previous one, believe us.
Furthermore, the water taps, drains and electric sockets will probably be at different locations compared to your old kitchen or bathroom, just to mention a few more cons.
So, moving and modifying your kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops is not just unnecessary, but difficult as well.
